Dylan Stewart

All Ages
Dylan is a singer/songwriter from rural southern Oklahoma. A small circus rooted town called Ringling.

Stewart sings the forlorn and forgotten tales of a true modern day vagabond. A remarkable wordsmith haunted by the ghosts of fallen troubadours like Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, and Tom Skinner.

"My songs have strangeness and darkness to them; sometimes maybe tucked into a happy melody. Religious undertones and outlaw themes; drugs, death, redemption, and fate. I used to try to fight that direction when writing. I was afraid of myself I suppose. Now I embrace it. I think it came from growing up in church."

-Dylan Stewart

"I first heard Dylan in a cheap motel room in Ardmore, OK. He was intent on me hearing his songs. Well I recorded an album with him. He was right. The world should hear his work. A true artist."

-Mike McClure(The Great Divide)

His solo debut "Pay the Fiddler," (2012) was produced by Oklahoma folk fixture Travis Linville; his sophomore album "Dylan Stewart and the Johnny Strangers," (2013) Stewart collaborated with one of his songwriting hero’s, Great Divide front man and Red Dirt icon Mike McClure. His third release "Dylan Stewart and The Eulogists: Giving Up the Ghost" (2016) was recorded again at the legendary Boohatch studio and produced by Mike McClure and Jon Knudson(Whiskey Myers, The Damn Quails)

"Dylan Stewart is an amazing artist that has somehow to this point gone under the radar. His music reminds me of why I fell in love with the songwriting of Townes Van Zandt."

-Shayne Hollinger/Creative Director 95.9 KFWR FM The Ranch (Fort Worth, TX)

"Dylan Stewart, a great songwriter from Oklahoma. I think he is one of several Okie's who seem to be taking over the world right now in terms of songwriting talent."

-Adam Carroll (Singer/Songwriter)

Stewart’s songwriting and distinct style create an inimitable and dynamic sound all his own. His fourth title "The Scarecrow Sessions" was released world wide on April 6th, 2019.
